Exploring Tunisia
Hello everyone,
Everything is so different in Tunisia. When I set foot on land, I entered another world. You can’t buy anything without bargaining. The streets are cluttered with rubbish. Stray cats everywhere. Mostly starving or sick. But the towns, the markets, everything is so colourful and nice despite everything.
At the moment we are in Bizerte. These last weeks, I particularly liked the camel ride while we were in the desert. It is very wobbly, and when they get up, you nearly fall off and the worst is when they kneel down. El Jem was pretty cool too, with its amphitheatre and the mosaic museum. Carthage was the best part besides the desert. There we visited a roman thermal bath. It was massive. The only part that we could visit was the underground, the part to heat the baths. But one of the first-floor colons was still up. It was measuring 15 meters in hight.
These were my favourite things exloring Tunisia. But after all those visits, it was nice to start sailing again. 😊
Great stuff, Oliver!
