Her name
In the Uwa dialect, an indigenous ethnic group in east-central Colombia, Illika means “the one who has luck”. While checking in Internet, what the search of this name came up with, we came across an article about a rescued condor. This female condor was also called Illika. https://www.lematin.ch/story/homme-contre-condor-le-roi-des-andes-echec-et-mat-538312842414

Dear Pat and Chris,so nice to hear from you. It doesn’t feel like Christmas yet but with the boys we’ll anyway make some biscuits and hope with decorating the boat, the feeling will come.
A wonderful Christmas to you all too!
Love Cathy and family
Hi, dear crew of the Illika. We would like to follow you!! We’re now at the Canary Islands (sailed from Holland), but we’re making plans to sail along the border of Africa. So we’re very interested in your journey!
Kind regards Angeline and Mario from the Aramis (We’re now in Gran Tarajal, Fuerteventura)
Hi Angeline,
I sent you a message on Noforeignland, hope you received it. Thank you for your interest. We’re in the Siné-Saloum, towards La Gambia in a few days, then Casamance. Let us know when you get to West Africa, would be great to meet up!
Hi my dears. Sally here. I have just been chatting with Mum and she gave me your blog details.
What tremendous memories you are making; treasure every second. 😍………now I have nearly a year to catch up with your travels.
Dear Sally,
Hope you’ll enjoy reading our posts since the beginning. You’ll notice that sailing life is not predictable and things change all the time. So our original plan has being changed and re-changed and changed again… 🙃
Lovely to read you 😘
