Sardinia for me…
Here are some things we visited or that I recommend if you come to Sardinia.
We visited a Nuraghe with my Mum and brother. My father had to go to Switzerland for work so we were in Olbia in the bay. We took a bus to the archaeological site (quite a challange to get the right one!). The first nuraghe cost 4 euros and the second was 3 euros. So we left the reception and went to see the first one. It was in a very good condition and we could go inside. But the second one had only stones, 3 euros for a few piled up stones! This is pure theft. The Nuraghe was a kind of stone construction dating from 2200 to 400 BC which could reach 20 metres high. They were used as dwellings and defensive constructions at the same time. They were surrounded by walls and consisted of towers, huts and other constructions. Archaeologists have recorded about 20,000 of these in Sardinia.

Daddy came back and we sailed south of Olbia. We had seen, that there was a wreck to explore by snorkelling. We thought it would be nice, so we took our snorkelling gear and went to find it with our dinghy. It was incredible, there were thousands of fish of all colours. We even saw a group of Mediterranean barracudas. There was a current of over 2 km/h.
We also anchored with Illika in the famous Cala Luna. The bay is just extraordinary. After anchoring, we took the dinghy to visit a cave called Bue Marina. There are guided tours, either in English or Italian. It is beautiful and has 4 caves. For those who do not have a boat, there are boats for hire and excursions that you can book in the nearby villages.
Before crossing to Tunisia, where we are now, there is Cagliari. A great city and very lively. There are good restaurants and the beautiful old town to visit.

Lovely stuff Oliver
